Kapil Sharma will reportedly have ‘an amazing role’ in The Crew and the filming for the same will start ‘very soon’.
Rhea Kapoor’s ambitious project The Crew has got a new cast. The shooting of the film has started. Kriti Sanon started shooting for the film last month while Kareena Kapoor has recently joined the team. The trio, including Tabu, will reportedly start filming their scenes together this week. Additionally, he is expected to head abroad for an essential shoot of the film.
While Kareena, Tabu and Kriti play the lead roles, it appears to be the comedian. Kapil Sharma Will join them. According to a source close to Pinkvilla, Kapil Sharma will join the cast of The Crew. “Kapil has an amazing role to play in The Crew, and the team is extremely excited to have him on board. In fact, his role will be a pleasant surprise for the audience. He will start shooting for it soon.”
Earlier to mark the beginning of the project, filmmaker Rhea Kapoor shared a picture from the first day of the shoot. The picture shows the title of the film on a clapboard, with flowers and diyas in the vicinity. Furthermore, he shared a lovely message expressing his appreciation, mentioning that the shoot began on his mother Sunita Kapoor’s birthday.
The film is being produced by the accomplished duo of Veere Di Wedding, Ekta R Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor who treat the audience with a combination of drama and comedy. In an earlier interview with Pinkvilla, Ekta shared her thoughts on the project, acknowledging the special charm that Tabu, Kareena and Kriti bring to the screen. He also highlighted her acting abilities and alluring charisma, which have earned her the status of leading ladies in their respective eras of Bollywood. He expressed that he could not have chosen anyone more suitable than these three individuals to portray the main characters in The Crew.
Apart from Tabu, Kareena and Kriti, actor Diljit Dosanjh has been roped in to play the lead in the upcoming film. The Crew is a comedy film that revolves around the struggling airline industry and follows the lives of three women as they strive for success. However, their travels land them in unexpected situations, and they become embroiled in a web of deceit. Rajesh Krishnan is helming the film, while it is co-produced by Balaji Motion Pictures Limited and Anil Kapoor Productions.
Meanwhile, Kapil Sharma was last seen in Nandita Das’ much-acclaimed film Zavigato alongside Shahana Goswami, Tushar Acharya and Zishan Ali in pivotal roles. The film garnered critical acclaim from the audience and critics for its story and acting skills. Apart from this, Kapil has also acted in films like Tubelight, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, Firangi and many more.
