Kanyakumari MP’s pen worth 1.5 lakh stolen: Actor-turned-politician Vijay Vasanth inherited from his father; police in search

Vijay Vasanth’s pen was stolen from a hotel during an event of opposition’s presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha in Chennai.

Actor-turned-politician Kanyakumari MP Vijay Vasanth’s pen worth 1.5 lakh was stolen in Chennai. Vijay Vasant is a Congress MP. He has lodged a complaint of pen theft at the Guindy police station. A pen is stolen during an event of opposition presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha in Chennai. Police is scanning the CCTV footage to find the pen.

Pen stolen from hotel
Giving information in this matter, Vijay Vasant said that during a program of Presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha, the pen was stolen from the Pen Guindy Hotel. While entering the hotel, I had a pen in my pocket, but when I came out, I saw that the pen was not in my pocket. There was a huge crowd in the hotel. I tried to find the pen, but the pen was not found. I also informed the hotel staff about this. After this I lodged a complaint with the police station on 5th July. I am sure the police will find the pen soon.

pen was inherited
The Congress MP told about the pen that a Montblanc pen worth Rs 1.5 lakh is priceless to me. This pen was used by my late father and former Kanyakumari MP H. Vasanthakumar. I inherited this pen after his death.

The MP said that about four years ago when my father went to buy a pen, he was hesitant as to why spend so much for a pen. When I insisted, he took it. This pen is used by my father till the last.

Congress leader H. Vasanthkumar died of corona at the age of 70.

Vijay Vasanth has worked in many films
Vijay Vasanth is also known as Vijayakumar. Vijay Vasanth has worked in 18 Tamil language films from 2007 to 2019. His father H. Vasanthakumar was an MP from Kanyakumari. After the death of his father, Vijay became active in politics in 2021. After this he took over the post of General Secretary of Tamil Nadu Congress Committee. At present, he is a Congress MP from Kanyakumari Lok Sabha seat.
