Kannada actor Kishore Kumar ji wrote a long note on his social media handles condemning the Boycott attacks on Bollywood.

Kantara actor Kishore Kumar ji has been in the news recently for getting his Twitter handle suspended out of the blue along with taking a dig at Yash’s Kannada blockbuster film KGF 2. In light of the call for a boycott of Shah Rukh Khan’s action-thriller Pathan and the vandalism that took place a few days ago at a mall in Ahmedabad, Kishor has weighed in on the situation, equating the ‘boycott’ movement with a ‘boycott’ movement. to commit felonies.

On Sunday, Kishor shared an excerpt from a news article on his Instagram handle, which carried the Suniel Shetty news. The Dharavi Bank actor had urged UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to help stop such attacks Bollywood movies. Along with the picture, the Kantara actor penned a long note. It read, “The time has come for the film fraternity across the country to support Bollywood by condemning the trend of boycotting Bollywood films, blatant hooliganism against them and the politics of hate against its actors.”

Kishore said that it is a big lapse on the part of the government that they have not been able to protect an industry like Bollywood from vicious attacks. He wrote, “It is the failure of governments that they cannot ensure the safety of any business or industry in the world’s largest democracy. Yet, people in the film industry are not speaking up, creating an atmosphere of fear, which Shame on the government officials responsible for maintaining law and order. This is a clear violation of law which is poisoning the society and needs to be stopped and punished before the fire spreads to local film industries as well.”

Apart from being a talented actor, Kishor has been consistently vocal on social and political issues especially related to farmer protests, religious bipolarism and other socially relevant topics. Apart from Kantara, the actor was also a part of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 1 and Arangan Chinnathambi’s Manja Kuruvi.
