Kangana Ranaut urges people to watch ‘The Kashmir Files’

new Delhi: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who never shies away from speaking her mind, recently praised ‘The Kashmir Files’ after watching the film, saying it has freed Bollywood from its ‘sin’.

The ‘Panga’ actor watched the Vivek Agnihotri directorial on Monday and shared his reaction with the paparazzi after stepping out of the theatre.

Lauding the film and its makers, Kangana said, “Itni achi film banayi hai inhone ki Bollywood ke paap dho diye (They have made such a great movie that Bollywood’s all sins have been washed away).”

The actor further said that everyone in the industry should promote ‘The Kashmir Files’. Kangana said, “Bollywood people make such rubbish films and promote them like anything. They should promote this film.”

He also urged everyone to watch and support the film, adding that it should be declared tax-free in all states.

This is not the first time that Kangana has praised the film and slammed the Bollywood industry. Last week, Kangana shared a note about ‘The Kashmir Files’ on her Instagram stories.

“Please note the pin-drop silence about #thekashmirfiles in the film industry, not only the content but its business is also exemplary… the investment and profit ratio could be such a case study that this will be the most successful and profitable film of the year , ” He said.

The actor added, “It also busted many myths about post-pandemic cinemas for big budget event films or visual/VFX glasses, it is breaking every myth and preconceived notion and bringing audiences back to theatres. It’s unbelievable!!!”

‘The Kashmir Files’, which revolves around the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990, was released in theaters on March 11. It stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar and others.

The film has been declared tax-free in several states including Uttar Pradesh, Tripura, Goa, Haryana and Uttarakhand.

Talking about Kangana, she will soon be seen in films like ‘Tejas’, ‘Dhaakad’, ‘Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda’, ‘Emergency’ and ‘The Avatar: Sita’.

She is also producing the upcoming film ‘Tikoo Weds Sheru’ under her production house Manikarnika Films. Currently, she is hosting the OTT reality show ‘Lock Up’.
