Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has reached the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Kangana was summoned by the Bathinda court in the defamation case. in which he was asked to appear. She has come to HC to get relief in this case. The next hearing of this case will be on July 11.

Kangana had tweeted saying 87-year-old farmer Mahinder Kaur, a resident of Bahadurgarh Jandia village of Bathinda, was a woman who took 100-100 rupees to join the dharna. Against which the woman had filed a case in the court.

Due to this case, Kangana was gheraoed by farmers in Kiratpur a few months back.  She was coming from Himachal Pradesh to Chandigarh.

The hearing lasted 13 months
Mahinder Kaur, an elderly farmer, filed a case in the court on January 4, 2021, after Kangana’s tweet. Whose hearing lasted for about 13 months. After which the court of Bathinda had issued summons to Kangana and asked her to appear in the court.

Kangana mistook Mohinder Kaur as ‘Bilkis Bano’
Kangana Ranaut mistook Mohinder Kaur, an elderly woman farmer involved in the farmers’ movement, as Bilkis Bano. Bilkis was the face of Anti-CAA Protest at Shaheen Bagh. Mohinder Kaur said in the petition that Kangana compared him with some other woman. He said that Kangana’s tweet caused him mental trouble. His image has been hurt among family members, relatives, neighbors, villagers and common people.
