Dharwad: Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi on Tuesday visited senior poet Channavera Kanaviwho is undergoing treatment for chest infection and kidney-related problems at SDM Hospitals at Sattur near here.
Joshi told media the doctors are making all efforts to recover Kanavi’s health. “But due to the age factor, Kanavi is not responding to chest infection treatment. I have advised doctors to go all-out for his recovery,” Joshi added.
He further said: “I the state government sends a proposal to the Center on conferring ‘Rashtra Kavi‘ sobriquet on Kanavi, the Center would see and heed the suggestion too,” he said, and wished Kanavi a speedy recovery.
In the meantime, the doctors treating Kanavi he is suffering from multiorgan dysfunction. His condition remains critical.
