Kalyan: To make twins Kalyan-Dombivli City Cleaner and More Beautiful, Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC) President Dr Vijay Suryawanshi Started a special city transformation campaign on Monday.
As part of this campaign, Dr. Suryavanshi along with KDMC employees, representatives of NGOs and citizens organized a special cleanliness program on Monday. Welfare In Khadakpada Circle.
Cleaning work was done on both sides of the road from Khadakpada Circle to Sandeep Hotel. This included clearing soil and debris on the road due to rain and clearing road dividers.
For the same KDMC has started ‘Special Cleanliness Week’ which started on Monday and will end on 31st October.
Dr Suryavanshi said, “The participation of more NGOs and citizens in KDMC’s ‘Parivartan Abhiyan’ will help in making the city cleaner and more beautiful.”
A similar program was also organized by the concerned ward officers in six other wards of the city.
Suryavanshi said that usually hawkers and shopkeepers throw garbage on the streets, which tarnishes the image of the city.
Therefore, keeping the city clean and beautiful is the responsibility of the corporation as well as the citizens.
During this special campaign the Deputy Commissioner of Sanitation Department Ramdas Kokare was also present.
