Kalicharan jailed till January 13: The one who abused Gandhiji had reached the Raipur court smiling, supporters were reading Hanuman Chalisa outside

Maharashtra’s Sant Kalicharan Maharaj, who was controversial for abusing Mahatma Gandhi, has been sent to judicial custody till January 13. Now the morning of his new year will be in jail itself. The Raipur police produced him in the court on Friday evening. This appearance has taken place in the case of Kalicharan Maharaj making controversial remarks against Mahatma Gandhi in the Parliament of Religions. A case of sedition is also registered against him.

After hearing that lasted for about two hours, the court ordered to send Kalicharan Maharaj to jail. Earlier, the lawyers presented their arguments regarding them. During the hearing, the supporters of Kalicharan kept reciting Hanuman Chalisa outside the court. The police had reached the court by taking Kalicharan from the Mandir Hasaud police station. Kalicharan had entered the court premises smiling.

Earlier on Thursday, after an argument that lasted for about two hours, Kalicharan was sought by the Raipur Police on remand till January 1. Which was accepted by the court. After a day-long interrogation, the police produced Kalicharan in the court in the afternoon.

Raipur Police had caught Kalicharan from Chhatarpur in MP on Thursday morning. A person named Rajesh Sharma, who was staying at the home stay there, told that Baba had come with 6 people on Tuesday night. Later two women also came.
