Days after TMC MP Mohua Moitra’s controversial remarks on Goddess Kali, BJP’s Suvendu officials will today take out a protest march in his constituency Krishnanagar against her remarks.
Meanwhile, BJP also organized Kali puja in Krishnanagar.
Responding to the controversy over a film poster showing Goddess Kali smoking a cigarette, Moitra had said, “Kali, to me, is a flesh-eating, alcohol-accepting goddess. You have the freedom to imagine your own goddess. Something There are places where whiskey is offered to the gods, and somewhere it will be blasphemy.”
There was a widespread response to his comments, including from his own party. TMC condemned the MP and declared that the party does not support his views.
