As the war of words continued between the members of the opposition and the ruling front, the Speaker announced the adjournment of the proceedings for some time. As soon as the assembly was reconstituted after 30 minutes, the Speaker announced his decision to adjourn the proceedings by canceling the calling attention motion and the submissions. The House then completed the remainder of the day’s business, and passed a vote on account for the next four months before adjourning indefinitely.
The Assembly felicitated Assembly Secretariat Secretary SV Unnikrishnan Nair and Special Secretary R Kishore Kumar, who are retiring from service on May 31 and April 30, respectively. The next session of the Vidhan Sabha is likely to be held in June-July, which will be a full-fledged budget session, with detailed department-wise budget discussions.
