New Delhi: Days after persuading former India captain Rahul Dravid to take up the responsibility, BCCI As per the mandatory constitution of the Lodha Committee, the advertisement for the post of head coach and three support staff was released on Sunday.

This is why the BCCI has now issued advertisements for the post of head coach for a period of two years till the 2023 ODI World Cup, as well as for the positions of batting, bowling and fielding coaches.
Ravi Shastri, along with bowling coach Bharat Arun and fielding coach R Sridhar, will complete their tenure at the end of India’s T20 World Cup campaign next month.
Batting coach Vikram Rathour, although he has no performance to show during his two-year tenure from 2019 till now, is expected to get an extension if he applies.

For the position of head coach, the incumbent will have to play either 30 Tests or 50 ODIs, as well as experience coaching a national team for two years or an IPL team for three years.

For other support staff, qualifications require affiliation or experience working with 10 Tests or 25 ODIs or IPL/A teams for a period of three years.
Another post for which BCCI is looking for a candidate after Ashish Kaushik stepped down recently is the head of ‘Sports Science and Medicine’ at the National Cricket Academy.
