Even though Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani Starrer Jagjag Jio made a slow start at the box office, looks like it is picking up the pace now. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film saw a growth of around 60% on its second Saturday. While the film earned Rs 3.03 crore on Friday, it collected Rs 4.75 crore on Saturday, taking the total collection so far to Rs 61.44 crore.

As per a Box Office India report, the film saw a huge jump in the northern circuit including Delhi-NCR and East Punjab. Apart from this, the film also earned a lot in Bangalore and Kolkata. However, Karan Johar’s film failed to retain the audience in Gujarat. “Development on Saturday came everywhere except Gujarat, which did not show the kind of growth that should have come. But it could be a market thing as even a blockbuster Gujarati film failed to show the boom on Saturday which was a sure thing. In the north the film did very well in both Delhi NCR and East Punjab while Bangalore and Kolkata also made strong jumps. Mumbai city is also on hold despite inclement weather, so generally the large collection areas of Mumbai and North are doing well,” the report claimed.
Jugjug Jio released on July 24 and this is the first time that Varun Dhawan and Kiara Adani are seen together on screen. The film also marks the return of Neetu Kapoor to the theaters after almost seven years. It also stars Anil Kapoor, Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Koli. The film revolves around a couple seeking divorce, until they find out that their father wants to divorce their mother as well.
News18’s review of Shosha’s film said, “The film has problems. Some jokes seem like old WhatsApp forwards, even if they bring laughter. But one would like to ignore it as JagJag Jio provides wholesome entertainment. JugJug Jio will make you laugh, cry and connect with the characters on an emotional roller coaster. The film is thoroughly entertaining, and is worth the money, and you must watch it. ,
