Panaji: BJP national president JP Nadda on Sunday criticized the Congress-led opposition for creating a ruckus over the Pegasus spyware media project, alleging that over 40 Indian journalists were using Israel-made spyware ‘Pegasus’ for surveillance. were potential candidates.

Addressing a press conference ahead of the conclusion of his two-day Goa visit, JP Nadda said, “As far as Snoopgate is concerned, it is baseless and pointless. The Congress-led opposition has no such issue. Which is related to the people. That’s why they raise such issue.”

Ahead of his address, the BJP national president praised Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant for “all-round development” and hinted at moving ahead with him as the CM face for the upcoming assembly elections. Nadda said that in BJP the parliamentary board makes official announcements but there is no need to think of any other name.

“According to the NITI Aayog report, Goa ranks number one in terms of growth in per capita income. Goa ranks third in the Human Index. Goa has also moved up from seventh to fourth in economic activity, which is a clear sign. Development under Pramod Sawant’s regime,” JP Nadda said.

Speaking on the BJP’s structure in the state with regard to the assembly elections, the BJP leader said that structurally, it has become a force that is difficult to defeat. “In the last four and a half years, Goa BJP has taken a huge leap from 2017 to 2021 when it comes to performance. JP Nadda is on a two-day visit to Goa for the elections. During his visit, he held several meetings with state ministers, party legislators and other core committee members regarding the preparations for the Goa Assembly elections, which are due early next year.
