Depp & Heard’s $100 million lawsuit for defamation began on April 11 in Fairfax, Virginia. As Page Six reports, several stars such as Paul Bettany, from WandaVision, Elon Musk, James Franco and Ellen Barkin are testifying in court. The case began with Ben Chew and J.J. Benjamin Rottenborn, who represented Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, respectively.

Depp has testified about his experiences growing up with an abusive mother, his struggles with substance abuse, and his tumultuous relationship with Heard. Depp admitted in his testimony that he and Heard had an argument during their relationship, but added, “I myself never got to the point of killing Miss. Neither did I listen in any way nor did I spend my life.” I’ve never hit a woman.”

During the six weeks of testimony, Heard’s lawyers argued that he told the truth and that his comments were covered as free speech under the First Amendment to the US Constitution. Throughout the case, jurors listened to recordings of the couple’s feud and saw graphic photos of Depp’s bloody finger. He said that the upper part of his finger was broken when Heard threw a bottle of vodka at him in 2015.

Heard denied injuring Depp’s finger and said that Depp sexually assaulted her that night with a bottle of wine. He said that he killed her only to defend himself or his sister.
