John Abraham’s Attack of Supernatural Abilities Inspired by Marvel’s Deadpool and GI Joe

According to reports, the role of John Abraham in Attack will be that of a mercenary with superhuman abilities, as the story revolves around a hostage crisis.

Bollywood actor and producer John Abraham will soon star in a hardcore action film, which will take inspiration from its Hollywood counterparts. As per a recent report, John will star in the film Attack, helmed by his production house JA Entertainment. Bollywood Hungama reported on Monday that the actor’s role will be inspired by Hollywood films like GI Joe and Deadpool. The report mentions that John will be playing the role of a robot character.

John will play a mercenary with superhuman abilities in the upcoming action thriller whose plot revolves around a hostage crisis. His character is believed to be more in line with Marvel Studios’ Deadpool, played by actors Ryan Reynolds and GI Joe. The report also mentioned that John will perform some never-before-seen high-octane action sequences choreographed by international stunt coordinator Ryan Sturz, who worked on Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel film.

It is reported that the upcoming film revolves around a fictional attack in Parliament where several people are taken hostage. John’s character is a member of the so-called Attack Team deployed for the rescue mission. The thriller will also mark the directorial debut of Lakshya Raj Anand, who has previously assisted filmmakers such as Kabir Khan and Siddharth Anand. The film has been written by Lakshya, Vishal Kapoor and Sumit Batheja. Attack also boasts of a stellar star cast which includes Prakash Raj, Jacqueline Fernandez, Rakul Preet Singh and Ratna Pathak Shah.

Earlier in September, John had revealed that Attack would hit the theaters on Republic Day next year. In a Twitter post, the actor described the film as “a hostage crisis that brought the nation to its knees. This time the race is against time, get ready to attack.”
