John Abraham To Shoot For Shah Rukh’s Pathan First, Remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum Delayed

The rescheduling of Pathan’s shoot has affected his Ayyappanam Koshiyum shoot.

Due to the recent developments in the NCB case involving his son Aryan Khan, King Khan had to go ahead with the shooting of Pathan.

Actor John Abraham has several upcoming projects, but the most talked about among them is Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathan in which he plays the antagonist. He is also playing the lead role in the Hindi remake of the hit Malayalam film ‘Ayyappanam Koshiyum’.

The rescheduling of Pathan’s shoot has affected his Ayyappanam Koshiyum shoot. ‘Pathan’ shoots likely to resume this month, and dates are clashing Bollywood Reports say that ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ is a remake, as a result of which it has been postponed.

For Shah Rukh, Pathan is one of the most ambitious projects and by playing an antagonist in the film, John Abraham is eager to bring back his bad looks from his hits Dhoom and Race 2.

The Bollywood remake of ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ was originally supposed to go on floors in 2022, but it will not happen as John will be busy shooting for Shah Rukh-starrer ‘Pathan’ till March 2022 as per the new schedule.

Earlier, Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan was approached by the makers to be a part of the Hindi remake of ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’. Due to the date clash, Abhishek Bachchan withdrew from the project. Later, actor Arjun Kapoor was roped in for the same role.

Jagan Sakthi will direct the Bollywood remake of ‘Ayyappanam Koshiyum’. The story of the Malayalam film revolves around the ego struggle of a retired constable and a police officer. Director Jagan Shakti has completed the recce of the remake and is now looking for new dates.
