After Dhoom 1, the desire to see John back in the franchise was at its peak and if rumors are to be believed, this wish may soon be fulfilled. It is speculated that the makers are looking to revive the Dhoom franchise.
A source close to Bollywood Hungama claimed, “Earlier this year John Abraham broke the mold with his performance in the film Shahrukh Khan Starr Pathan. His rendition of the main villain definitely created waves, and the audience loved his performance as well. So it will come as no surprise if Yash Raj Films wants to cast him again in a negative role. There may be more truth to this than any other rumor. In fact, for the last few days YRF has been having daily meetings and John has been seen attending these meetings on several occasions. If anything is decided, it will be in one of these meetings.”
The source further added, “If you remember, the climax of Dhoom was open-ended. There was no clarity on whether John’s character was dead or he ran away in the film. This uncertainty could have been used, To see him return to the Dhoom franchise.”
John, who was last seen in the huge blockbuster Pathan playing an antagonist named Jim, is currently basking in the success of the film. After making a comeback as an action villain, it seems he now wants to do more action films and what better than Dhoom 4. Treat your eyes.
Pathan presented John as an infamous villain and received immense love from his fans. After the film’s release, John talked about the love he has received from the audience, saying, “The love I am getting for playing the role of Jim in Pathan is unbelievable! As an actor I am only grateful to the audience and fans. I work for love. Records and milestones are a huge bonus and I am grateful that Pathan is such a historic blockbuster. I didn’t expect people to love my character so much that they want more gyms to be given to him .
