John abraham Enjoying the success of his recent release Pathan and more than that, his character of Jim has earned appreciation from the masses. his gentle portrayal of Jim in Shahrukh Khan The starrer has also given him a different film which the audience is eagerly waiting for. Talking about the same, John said that he is glad that he has managed to give people an anti-hero they will never forget.
John Abraham said in a statement, “I’m amazed by the number of messages I get on my social media daily about how there should be a prequel to Jim. When people almost always root for the hero, and he is the hero Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Pathan’, It’s a matter of great pleasure that people are supporting anti-heroes as well! Done that they will always remember. That’s what I intended when I heard ‘Pathan’.”
Terming Jim as a “refreshingly mild villain”, the actor said that the character has been well crafted by the creators, giving the audience an idea of why he has become who he is. He added, “Imagine the pain he endured, imagine the injury that broke him and made him the man he became.” John said that if producer Aditya Chopra wants him to reprise the role of Jim in future, he will grab the opportunity with both hands.
John said, “For me, Jim was a very powerful character and yes, it would be great if Aditya Chopra wanted to bring him back and tell the world what a great super-spy he was and later he was a ruthless How did he become a mercenary. So, if a film is made on Jim then there could be a lot to explore. I don’t know what Aditya Chopra has in mind. As of now, I am enjoying the love that has been showered on me. is coming along the way and I’m grateful that I entertained People completely.”
Pathan – the fourth film from Yash Raj Films’ espionage world – saw John as Jim, a former Indian intelligence agent turned rogue, who plans a debilitating attack on Indian soil and encounters the titular spy (played by Shah Rukh Khan) does. The film has crossed the Rs 800 crore mark in global gross box office collections since its release on 25 January.
