John Abraham appeals to PM Modi for ‘amendment and strengthening’ in PCA Act, says ‘heinous crimes should be done…’

MumbaiBollywood actor John Abraham shared a series of tweets requesting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Purushottam Rupala to amend the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PCA) Act in view of rising cases of cruelty against animals. . He tagged BJP leaders and urged them to pass amendments to the PCA Act during the monsoon session of Parliament.

The “Batla House” actor said there is a need to make heinous crimes and killing of animals non-bailable so that atrocities against them can be stopped.

“Instances of barbaric cruelty to animals are on the rise. @narendramodi ji @PRupala ji, please pass amendment in PCA Act in this monsoon session of Parliament. John tweeted, “Heinous crimes of brutal torture and killing of animals should be made non-bailable and exemplary punishment should be #NoMore50.”

Abraham also said that animals have been suffering for a long time because of weak laws and the government should try to amend the PCA Act.

“PCA Act was enacted in 1960 but has not been amended since then. Animals have been suffering for a very long time due to weak laws. Heinous crimes need to be made non-bailable. @narendramodi ji @PRupala ji please Amendment and strengthen the PCA Act. This monsoon session of Parliament #NoMore50,” he further wrote on the micro-blogging site.
