Relatives told that Inayat’s family had gone to his uncle’s place in Trisal village where his grandmother had died a few days ago. The relatives said that in the morning they were shocked to hear that Inayat had been murdered as they had seen her at her maternal uncle’s house in the past few days.

Police and Army said in a joint briefing that five terrorists affiliated to Jaish and Lashkar were killed in Pulwama and Budgam districts. A police handout identified him as Zahid Ahmed Wani alias Uzair (a top commander), a resident of Karimabad Pulwama; Kafeel Bhari alias Chhotu, a foreign terrorist from Pakistan; Waheed Ahmed Reshi, resident of Khadermoh Kakapora and Inayat Ahmed Mir, resident of Naira Pulwama.

Incriminating material, arms and ammunition including 01 M4 rifle, 02 AK series rifle and 02 pistol were recovered from the encounter site.

Meanwhile, another terrorist, Bilal Ahmed Khan, a resident of Chill Brass, Khansaheb, was killed at Charar-e-Sharif in Budgam district. As per police records, he was a classified terrorist and was associated with Lashkar (TRF) and was part of groups involved in several terror crime cases.
