A Pakistani terrorist belonging to the terrorist organization Lashkar was killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday, while three terrorists escaped.
According to the documents recovered from the possession of the slain Pakistani terrorist, he has been identified as Hanjalla of Lahore, Pakistan. IGP Kashmir said that one AK rifle, 5 magazines along with ammunition have been recovered.
Acting on specific information about the presence of terrorists in Panipora forest in Jalur area of Sopore, security forces launched a cordon and search operation there, a police official said.
He said the search operation turned into an encounter after the hiding militants opened fire on the security personnel, who retaliated.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar said that a Pakistani terrorist was killed in the encounter.
