J&K: One Hizb terrorist killed in Kulgam encounter, operation underway

J&K Encounter: At least one terrorist of banned terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen was killed in an encounter in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The operation took place in Khandipora area of ​​the district. Security officials are on the job and the encounter is still on.

The encounter started in the early hours of Saturday. The Kashmir Zone Police reported the death of one terrorist.

Meanwhile, the Indian Army in a joint operation with the Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested two active terrorists belonging to the banned terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Baramulla, informed police officials on Friday.

“Acting immediately on specific information, Police along with Army arrested 2 active terrorists of banned terrorist organization Lashkar, identified as Irshad Ahmad Mir, son of Abdul Rehman Mir (a classified terrorist) and Zahid Bashir, son of Bashir Ahmed. Both are residents of Nehalpora Pattan area. Baramulla,” an official release said.

Incriminating material, ammunition including 2 Chinese pistols, 18 live cartridges and 2 magazines were recovered from their possession.
