The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday busted a terror module of the banned terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). The police have arrested the terrorist associates. The arrested terrorists have been identified as Umar Farooq Dar, a resident of Shahbad, Sooraj Manzoor Malik, a resident of Midora, Irshad Ahmed Lone, a resident of Midora, and Afnan Javid Khan, a resident of Shahbad.

It was also learned that the arrested terrorist associates Umais alias Usman and Abdul Rehman alias Jat were involved in providing shelter, logistical support and transportation of arms and ammunition to a foreign terrorist. Meanwhile, at around 4:20 pm today, terrorists hurled a grenade at a civilian hotspot in Amira Kadal area of ​​Srinagar.

“In this terror incident, 23 civilians identified as John Mohammed and a police personnel were spat. All the injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, however, an elderly civilian identified as Mohammad Aslam Makhdoomi son Mohammad Amin resident as Makhdoom. Sahib died at the age of about 60 years.”

It further said that senior police officers immediately reached the terror crime scene and the area has been cordoned off.

Kashmir’s Inspector General of Police (IGP) Vijay Kumar said, “Police are working hard to identify and arrest the terrorist perpetrator involved in today’s grenade attack and will destroy this grenade throwing module at the earliest.” He also said that the police have got it. Some important clues have been found and the investigation is going strictly in the right direction.

The police have started investigation by registering both the cases under relevant sections of the law in the respective police stations.
