Celebrities and publicity groups have hit out at Carr’s jokes on their Netflix shows.

Despite the outrage the joke sparked elsewhere, the audience responded with laughter.

Carr then explained why he thought it was a ‘good joke’, adding that it was ‘f**king funny’, ‘as in all hell’ and because it had ‘educational quality’.

The joke sparked outrage among various traveler charities and anti-hate groups after a clip was shared on social media.
