Jharkhand: Surrender militants will now remain in open jail, the government has given approval

The Jharkhand government has been continuously working towards getting the Naxalites to surrender. Now the government has decided that the surrendered militants will remain in open jail. The cabinet has approved it.

The government has approved the amendment in the surrender and resettlement policy in the state through a cabinet meeting. Accordingly, this new system has been implemented while making changes. A total of 17 proposals have been approved in the cabinet.

In the proposals passed by the cabinet, decision was also taken on the smart city being built in Ranchi. The plan has also been approved to build bungalows for 11 ministers in the city. An amount of Rs.69 crore 80 lakh has been approved for the work to be completed fast and robustly. Under Smart City, bungalows for ministers will be constructed in ten acres of land.

Along with this, now 24 subordinate courts of 20 districts will have CCTV cameras, its approval has also been given by the cabinet. T 52 crore 43 lakh 32 thousand will be spent on this scheme. So far, CCTV cameras have been installed in Ranchi, Dhanbad, Daltonganj and Chaibasa. The rest are yet to be installed in the districts.
