Jharkhand: Nishikant Dubey, Deoghar DC Manjunath Bhajantri take to Twitter over aviation ‘security breach’ | Ranchi News – Times of India

DUMKA/RANCHI: The long-standing face-off between BJP MP from Godda Nishikant Dubey and Deoghar DC Manjunath Bhajantri turned ugly on Friday with both sides filing cases against each other for alleged violation of aviation norms and security breaches at the Deoghar airport on August 31.
Dubey led a delegation of BJP MPs and his supporters to Dumka from Delhi via Deoghar to meet the kin of the Class 12 girl who was burnt to death by her stalker two weeks ago. The death of the girl had led to a massive political slugfest between the ruling and opposition camps.
Both Dubey and Bhajantri filed police cases against each other followed by a heated Twitter war since Friday.
According to Deoghar police, they formally booked nine persons on Thursday, including Dubey, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, party leader Kapil Mishra, Sunil Tiwari (Babulal Marandi’s political adviser), Dubey’s two sons, Kanishka and Mahikant, Deoghar airport director Sandeep Dhingra, Seshadri Dubey and Devta Pandey, for allegedly forcing the air traffic control (ATC) of the Deoghar airport to fly an aircraft beyond the permissible time to return to Delhi on Wednesday.
Kunda police station in-charge Praveen Kumar confirmed that the FIR was lodged under different sections of the IPC which pertain to illegal trespassing, and endangering life and safety among others. “The FIR has been filed on September 1 based on the statement of the airport security-in-charge Suman Anand who accused MP Dubey of misusing his power to obtain a flying clearance for the take-off of the aircraft despite the ATC not giving the nod to the aircraft for night take-off or landing.”
