In Jharkhand, the holiday for schools from KG to 5th standard has been extended till January 14, 2023. The state government on Sunday announced closure of schools due to cold wave. Regular classes will now start from 16 Jan 2023.
The Jharkhand School Holiday Order is applicable to all the schools in the state.
ANI reported, “All schools in Jharkhand, from KG to Class 5, will remain closed till January 14 due to cold wave. Regular classes will resume from January 16.”
States like Jharkhand, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh are in the grip of cold wave. Temperatures are falling in these states, making the weather cold with dense fog. Before Jharkhand, winter vacation in Punjab has also been extended till January 14.
Schools are closed till January 14 in Lucknow, Varanasi and other cities of Uttar Pradesh due to cold wave. The government issued an order to extend the holidays of UP schools. Schools in Jaipur and other cities of Rajasthan are also closed till January 14.
Schools in various areas are closed till January 14 due to cold wave. According to IMD’s weather update, dense fog and adverse weather conditions will continue in some areas during the next few days.
