Jharkhand: Changes in the CBI team probing the Dhanbad judge murder case, the High Court has reprimanded the agency

A senior CBI official has informed on Saturday that the team will now be headed by Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikas Kumar. Vikas is posted in the agency’s special crime unit in Delhi. He has already taken over from VK Shukla. Officials said the new team has already reached Dhanbad.

The new team has sought permission of the court to interrogate two accused, Lakhan Verma and Rahul Verma, the official said. According to the official, the charge sheet has already been filed in the case. The new team will conduct further investigation based on the investigation report and after that an additional charge sheet will be filed, the official said. The new investigation team will be headed by the Superintendent of Police level.
