The Jharkhand government will increase the compensation for victims of wild animal attacks. Now the government will give Rs 1.5 lakh to those who are seriously injured. At the same time, the government will give Rs 3.25 lakh to the disabled who fall prey to wild animals. This decision was taken in the state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday.

Disabled will get Rs 3.25 lakh

Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel informed that the compensation amount has been increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh for victims of serious injuries during wild animal attack, while the amount of compensation has been increased in case of disability of a person. 2 lakh has been increased to Rs.3.25 lakh. He said that even for minor injuries due to attack by wild animals, the victims would get enhanced compensation. The compensation amount has been increased from Rs 15 thousand to Rs 25 thousand. Apart from this, the government will now give one lakh rupees to compensate for the loss of house and property.

These proposals were also stamped

The cabinet also approved the proposal for transfer of 1.57 acres of land at Nagdi, Ranchi to Bank of India for construction of administrative block of the public sector bank at a cost of Rs 11.23 crore. It also approved giving 0.28 acres of land at Chandil in Seraikela-Kharsawan district to GAIL on 30 years lease for construction of City Gas Station. Other proposals include a 100-bed Critical Care Health Block Hospital at Giridih under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
