The foundation stone of Jewar International Airport is to be laid tomorrow i.e. on November 25. MRO centre, film city, medical institutes and industries etc. will be developed near the airport. Due to their formation, about one lakh people will get employment opportunity. CM Yogi Adityanath is also claiming this.

Districts adjoining Jewar Airport will benefit greatly. People of 30 districts of western UP including Noida, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Bulandshahr, Agra, Mathura and Faridabad, Palwal and Vallabhgarh of Haryana will get facilities. According to the Yamuna Expressway Authority, more than 6 lakh people will get employment. In the next 4 years, Delhi, NCR districts of Haryana and West districts of Uttar Pradesh are going to get benefits.

Know, what is going to be developed around Jewar Airport…

1. Will become an industry hub
According to the officials of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority, 126 industries will be established. This will give jobs to the youth. Along with the construction of the airport, preparations have also been completed for the establishment of industries.

2. There will be a great deal of textile
More than 100 units of textiles have approached the Yamuna Authority for land to set up their industries here. 10 thousand crores can be invested. There is talk of applying land for industries.

3. Employment opportunities will increase from Film City
CM Yogi Adityanath, who reached Noida to take stock before the foundation stone laying of Jewar Airport, said that the work on the film city is going on at a brisk pace. With the formation of a film city near the airport, it will be easy for artists and people associated with the film/television world to come here. Online applications have been invited for this proposed scheme of Rs 10 thousand crores. The first bidding is in December. The film city will be constructed in about 1000 acres. There are also plans to open a university in Film City.

4. MRO Center
The MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhauling) center is built for aircraft maintenance. The country’s largest MRO will be built at Jewar Airport. There will be an investment of 80 thousand crores. Hotels, shopping centers and convention centers will be built. Training institutes will be set up in 2 hectares, convention cum exhibition centers in 3 hectares, commercial & retail offices in 2 hectares and mid scale hotels in 4 hectares.

Till now the only MRO center in the country is in Nagpur, Maharashtra. It is quite small. Therefore, the maintenance of all aircraft is not known here. Most of the aircraft in India get their maintenance done in the same country to which they are flying. There are big maintenance centers in Sri Lanka, Bhutan. The turnover of MRO industry worldwide is about 48 thousand crore rupees, in which India’s contribution is only one percent.

Millions of jobs from Industries, Airports and MROs

  • About 69 firms have been given 146 hectares of industrial land near Jewar Airport.
  • These lands were allotted in May, June and July.
  • These will directly create employment opportunities for about 86 thousand people.
  • The MRO center will be built on about 1200 hectares of land at Jewar Airport.
  • In the second phase, it will be completed by the year 2032, Rs 2800 crore will be spent.
  • One lakh people will get employment opportunities as soon as the airport becomes operational in the first phase.
  • If it is operational at full capacity in the year 2050, then employment opportunities will be more than ten times.
  • People residing in the districts of Delhi-NCR and Western Uttar Pradesh will benefit the most.
