JEE-Mains results declared; 17 candidates scored 100 percentile. India News – Times of India

New Delhi: Seventeen candidates, including one female, scored 100 percentile (100. No score) in JEE (Main) July-August (Session 3) Results. The results were announced by National Testing Agency Friday night. A total of 7.09 lakh candidates had registered for Paper 1 (BE/BTech) in this exam.
Four candidates each from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana scored 100 percentile, while two each from Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh made it to the toppers. Among those who have scored 100 percentile, there is one candidate each from Bihar, Rajasthan and Karnataka. Delhi’s toppers are Pravar Kataria and Ruchir Bansal.
More number of candidates secured 100 percentile as compared to first and second session held in February and March 2021. Six candidates scored 100 percentile (100 NTA score) in JEE (Main) February exam, while 13 scored 100 percentile in March exam. After all the four sessions of JEE (Main)-2021 exam, the final merit list will be released taking into account the best of the four NTA scores.
JEE (Mains) is being conducted four times a year from the current academic session to provide students with flexibility and a chance to improve their scores amid the second wave of COVID-19 in India.
The first phase in February was followed by the second phase in March, while the next phase was scheduled for April and May. But they were postponed after the number of coronavirus cases increased during the second wave of the pandemic in India. The fourth and final session of JEE (Main) will be held on August 26.
A total of 6.5 lakh candidates registered for the examination for February, out of which 6.2 lakh appeared, while out of the total 6.19 lakh registered candidates, 5.9 lakh took the examination in March.
The exam was conducted at 915 exam centers in 334 cities including 12 cities outside India in Bahrain, Colombo, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore and Kuwait.
The exam was conducted in 13 languages ​​- English, Hindi, Gujarati as well as Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, telugu, And Urdu.
JEE (Main) is conducted for admission to undergraduate programs National Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Information Technology and other centrally-funded technical institutions and engineering colleges of the participating states. It is also the eligibility test for JEE (Advanced) for admission in prestigious IITs.
For the first time, more than 200 technical institutes of Uttar Pradesh will also organize their admission on the basis of marks of this exam. Other states that are using JEE (Main) scores are Haryana, MP, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Nagaland, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Punjab.
