JEE (Mains) 2021, Session 3: Rain-hit Maharashtra students will get one more chance

JEE (Main) 2021 Session 3 Exam: In view of the heavy rains and landslides in Maharashtra, the government has given a big relief to the candidates of the state of Maharashtra for the JEE (Main) 2021 session 3 exam. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that students who have not reached the examination centers due to heavy rains need not panic as they will be given one more chance.

Dharmendra Pradhan said on his official Twitter account on Saturday, “In light of heavy rains and landslides in Maharashtra, to help the Maharashtra student community, I have advised @DG_NTA to give one more opportunity to all those candidates who are not able to to reach the examination center for JEE (Main)-2021 session 3.

“Students of Kolhapur, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Raigad, Sindhudurg, Sangli and Satara, who are unable to reach their examination centers for JEE (Main)-2021 session 3 on 25 and 27 July 2021, need not panic. They will be given another opportunity, and the dates will be announced by NTA soon,” the minister added in the following tweet.

The decision comes in the light of heavy rains in Maharashtra that have disrupted the normal life of citizens and caused havoc in several cities. The flood-like situation caused heavy destruction and blocked roads in several districts of the state.

According to reports, more than 135 people have lost their lives in rain-related incidents, while more than 50 people are missing. Several teams of NDRF have been deployed for relief and rescue work in the flood-affected areas.
