JEE Main admit card delayed, students affected by Agneepath protest demand postponement of exams

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022 was due to start on 20 June, however, when National Testing Agency (NTA) Released the exam city information slip, it changed the dates starting from 23rd June and ending up to 29th June. Now, candidates are demanding further postponement of the exam, claiming that the ongoing Agneepath protest on the new Army recruitment route has affected the travel routes. They also create disturbances in their areas.

NTA has neither responded to the requests of the students nor has it issued the admit card yet. Generally, JEE Main admit card is released around 10 days before the exam. Now, with less than three days to go, JEE admit cards are yet to be released. More than 8 lakh students are eagerly waiting for the clarity on this.

A large section of candidates have taken to Twitter to express their demands –

The engineering entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted at various centers located in 501 cities across the country and 22 cities outside India. This is the first time after the pandemic that the exams are being conducted at foreign locations.
