Bombay High Court has refused to postpone the engineering entrance exam Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 session 1. NTA will conduct the first session of JEE Main 2023 on January 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31. Further, the HC has said that the criteria of 75 per cent marks will be discussed at that time. The next hearing for the admission in June has been scheduled for February 21.

“Any order passed for stay can have a cascading effect. If a student does not perform well in JEE January, he/she can compete in April. Extraordinary circumstances do not seem to exist. It would not be proper to restrain the respondent from furnishing PAN India Examination,” said the Bombay High Court, reported a leading news daily.

As per the PIL submitted, the The petitioners claimed the dates for JEE Main 2023 And this CBSE There will be a clash in the class 10 and 12 board exams. The plea further states that the NTA had earlier revealed the IIT JEE Main 2023 exam dates two or three months in advance, but this time, it was announced almost a month in advance. Students claim that they will not have enough time to study for the exam this time due to the short notice.

The petitioner further submitted that the restoration of 75 per cent eligibility requirement this year would have a significant impact on lakhs of students. A bench of Acting Chief Justice SV Gangpurwala and J Sandeep V Marne was going to hear on January 4 the petition filed by child rights activist Anubha Srivastava Sahay.

Advocate Rui Rodrigues, appearing for NTA, submitted that class 12th score is considered for admission and not for eligibility to appear in JEE Main 2023. CBSE 10th and 12th board exams will start from February 15. While the second session will be from February 15. From 6th April to 12th April 2023, Registration date for the same is to be announced soon.
