JEE Main 2023: As per the official notice, NTA is giving an opportunity to the candidates to edit or change their state code of eligibility and category in the online application form for session 1 of the exam.

National Testing Agency (NTA) has re-opened the correction application window jee main 2023 Session 1. Candidates can make changes in their application form by visiting the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The application correction facility opened on 3rd February and will remain active on the main site till 5th February (up to 5 PM). Students have three days to make changes in their application form.

As per the official notice, NTA is giving an opportunity to the candidates to make changes or edit their state code of eligibility and category in the online application form of JEE (Main) – 2023 Session 1. “State Code of Eligibility” means the code of the State from where the candidate is appearing/has passed the Class 12 (or equivalent) qualifying examination on the basis of which the candidate is eligible to appear in JEE (Main) – 2023 Goes and becomes eligible to get admission in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs. ,” reads the notice.

It is important to note that the state code of eligibility does not depend on the place of origin or permanent address or place of residence of the candidate.

Candidates should note that this is the last chance for them before the declaration of result to avoid any difficulty. So, candidates are advised to do the correction very carefully, as no further chances will be given to the candidates.

On January 31, the NTA announced that it would re-open the JEE Main 2023 application correction window for session 1, responding to a request from parents on Twitter. The parents requested the NTA to look into the issue of incorrect eligibility status in their daughter’s JEE 2023 application form.

According to reports, the parents told that their daughter has studied 12th from Chandigarh and her home is in Uttar Pradesh. However, his eligibility status is shown as UP in the application form. The guardian had further alleged that then there was no column in the application form to fill the eligibility status.
