Patna: JDU National President Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh Said on Wednesday that no previous government in Bihar did as much work as CM Nitish Kumar For the welfare and progress of the members of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SC and ST).
Addressing a meeting of the Scheduled Castes cell of the JD(U) at the party’s state office here, Lalan said Chief Minister Nitish Kumar since coming to power in the state in November 2005 took bold steps and several policies for social Made it Political, educational and economic development of members of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. CM launched several schemes, which benefited the members of SC and ST. “No previous government in the state has done as much work for these communities,” he said.
He further asked the party leaders to give respectable posts to ‘dedicated and active’ workers in various cells to further accelerate the organization. He asked the leaders of the Scheduled Castes Cell to conduct effective campaigns at the district, block and village level to strengthen the party across the state.
Lalan asked the workers of the Scheduled Caste Cell to spread the development and public welfare works of Chief Minister Nitish at the village level. The meeting was presided over by the state president of the party’s SC cell and the former transport minister. Santosh Nirala,
JDU state president addressing the meeting Umesh Singh Kushwaha Said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has formed institutions like State Mahadalit Commission. Mahadalit Vikas Mission To ensure inclusive development of Dalit and Mahadalit communities. A large number of families of Mahadalit community were benefitted by the development works done by Mahadalit Development Mission.
Kushwaha also told how thousands of youth belonging to scheduled caste communities are being financially helped under the Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana.
In the meeting, it was also decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on April 14 in every panchayat of the state.
Other prominent JD(U) leaders who attended the meeting were its national secretary Ravindra Prasad Singh, MLC and state treasurer Lalan Saraf, state general secretary (headquarters) Mrityunjay Kumar Singh and state secretary (headquarters) Basudev Kushwaha.
