It is easy to find counterfeit copies of big brands’ products across the country. At first glance, it is difficult to differentiate between original and counterfeit products as they look familiar with similar logos, designs and colors. These knock-off products are sold at low prices to entice the customers and the blame for the declining quality goes directly to the original brand.
harman Recently decided to take legal action against the manufacturers and distributors involved in making and selling counterfeit JBL Products in India. During a recent raid, the company’s investigative team along with law enforcement officials seized stock of counterfeit JBL consumer products from two mobile and accessories wholesalers in Jabalpur city of Madhya Pradesh. Similar raids were conducted in West Bengal’s Kolkata city, where the team recovered counterfeit goods. JBL Speaker and other brand goods from manufacturing units.
The company has also shared some easy ways by which you can identify fake JBL products.
– Check whether the cosmetic details correspond to authentic JBL products.
– Inspect packaging and logo placement with color. Typically, counterfeit product packaging is made of vulnerable material that does not contain important details such as certificates, place of manufacture, address, and trademark or copyright information. The logo placement is a bit off and the color does not match the actual logo.
– The package or product may be light, smell of chemicals, or the paint may be chipped.
– Research seller reputation and read comments posted by customers.
“We advise our consumers to be cautious and buy JBL products only from authorized e-commerce and retailers,” said Pratap Devanayagham, Country Manager, Harman India.
