Japan’s Prime Minister Kishida said, serious after shooting Shinzo Abe

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said that former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was in critical condition after being shot today and doctors were working hard to save him.

Addressing the media at his residence, Kishida said, “Former PM Shinzo Abe’s condition is critical. Doctors are doing everything they can at this time. I hope he survives this.”

Public broadcaster NHK reported that former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was shot on Friday during an election campaign in Nara, western Japan. The suspect has been arrested.
