As per reports, Janhvi Kapoor Ulajh is slated to release in July this year.

On September 11, 2023, the shooting for the highly-anticipated political thriller ‘Ulajh,: featuring Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah, and Roshan Mathew, came to a close, under the adept direction of Sudhanshu Saria. In this cinematic endeavor, Janhvi Kapoor embodies the role of an IFS (Indian Foreign Service) officer, embarking on a perilous journey as she finds herself entangled in a dire conspiracy far from her homeland, despite hailing from a lineage of esteemed patriots. Recent months have sparked widespread speculation regarding the film’s release date within the industry circles.
Pinkvilla confirmed that the makers of ‘Ulajh,’ under the banner of Junglee Pictures, are eyeing a release date of July 5, 2024. An insider closely associated with the film’s production shared, “With the post-production work nearing its completion, the team of Junglee Pictures are targeting to bring their political thriller on July 5, 2024 and an official announcement is around the corner.” The enthusiasm within the team is palpable, as they’re eager to introduce a novel genre to the Indian cinema audience.
Ulajh’s stellar cast also includes Gulshan Devaiah, Rajesh Tailang, Meiyang Chang, Adil Hussain, Rajendra Gupta, and Jitendra Joshi in key roles. Reflecting on her experience with the film, Janhvi Kapoor shared, “I have learned so much through this experience, I wake up every day and feel so inspired seeing each one involved in the film, giving their heart and soul to everything. It was amazing to see how passionate everyone was, how high the energies were, and how fun everything was.”
Previously, Janhvi expressed, “When I was approached with the script of Ulajh, it instantly attracted me because as an actor, I am constantly looking for scripts that make me break out of my comfort zone and portraying a character based in the celebrated world of the Indian Foreign Services was just that. Just as the name of the film suggests, my character and the story, have so many layers, emotions, and parameters, which are challenging and exciting at the same time. I am thrilled for the audience to see me in this new role envisioned by Sudhanshu, who has such a fresh approach towards dealing with this genre. I am also looking forward to working with such talented co-actors and a development studio like Junglee Pictures for the first time.”
In addition to Ulajh, Janhvi Kapoor is set to grace the silver screen in another project titled Mr & Mrs Maahi, directed by Sharan Sharma, with its release date to be declared soon.
