He said six people were injured in stone-pelting, two shops and an auto-rickshaw were torched by warring groups and police fired tear gas to disperse the crowd. Adequate police force has been deployed to maintain law and order in Shastri Nagar under Kadma police station area of Jharkhand.
Sub-Divisional Officer (Dhalbhum) Piyush Sinha said, “Prohibitory orders have been imposed in the area under section 144 of the CrPC.”

Police said tension prevailed in the area since Saturday (April 8), when members of a local outfit found a piece of meat tagged on a Ram Navami flag. Several such organizations protested and demanded the police to arrest the culprits within 24 hours.
The situation turned violent on Sunday when a shop was set on fire and brickbats from both sides left six people injured. The mob also set an autorickshaw on fire, prompting the police to fire tear gas shells.
DIG (Kolhan) Ajay Linda said local miscreants torched shops and auto rickshaws.
