Two earthquakes of mild intensity hit Ramban and Doda districts of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. The officers provided this information. There is no news of any casualty. Officials said earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 and 4.4 occurred in the Chenab Valley region within a span of eight hours.

On 13 June, a 5.4 magnitude earthquake was recorded in nearby Doda and Kishtwar, which spread to several nearby areas, resulting in damage to several civilian structures. The epicenter of the 3.0-magnitude earthquake, which occurred at 2.03 p.m., was in the hilly Ramban district along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, an official of the Meteorological Department said.

He said the depth of the earthquake was five kilometers below the surface at the latitude of 33.31 degrees north and the longitude of 75.19 degrees east. An earthquake measuring 4.4 at a depth of 18 km with a latitude of 33.04 North and longitude 75.70 degrees East hit Doda district at around 9.55 pm, the official said. This was the seventh earthquake in Doda district in the last five days.
