According to the police, the security forces had received information that some Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists were present in Mitrigam area. Among them is a foreigner. After this the security forces surrounded the area and started search operation. During this, the terrorists opened fire on the security forces. One terrorist was killed late night in firing on both sides. Despite it being night, the security forces have tightened the siege due to the possibility of some more terrorists present. There is intermittent firing from both the sides. Earlier, Kashmir IG Vijay Kumar had tweeted that the operation was called off after initial firing to evacuate civilians.
Three helpers and two hybrid terrorists of Jaish arrested in Kashmir
