Pulwama Encounter: An encounter has started between terrorists and security forces in Naina Batpora area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district in south Kashmir, police informed on Thursday (March 10).
Security forces have also killed a terrorist in Pulwama.
Earlier, the police tweeted, “Encounter has started in Naina Batpora area of Pulwama. Police and security forces are at work.
Acting on specific information about the presence of terrorists in Naina Batpora area of South Kashmir district, security forces launched a cordon and search operation there, a police official said.
The search operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, who retaliated.
Police said exchange of fire was going on and further details were awaited.
