Jaishankar will start Israel tour from today with an aim to strengthen bilateral ties

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is set to begin his 3-day visit to Israel to engage with the newly formed Israeli government. According to media reports, Jaishankar will take a day stop in Dubai where he will discuss various issues with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) leadership.

After discussions, Jaishankar will fly to Tel-Aviv, where he is scheduled to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Foreign Minister and alternate PM Yair Lapid, and various other members of the newly formed coalition government to strengthen the diplomat. Jaishankar is visiting Israel at the official invitation of Yair Lapid. Lapid centrist Yash Atid leads the party and will take over as premier from Naftali Bennett in 2023 under the agreement that led to the formation of a coalition government.
