BJP leader and Municipal Councillor Rakesh Pandita of Tral in Pulwama was killed on 2 June in the firing of three terrorists in Tral Paine. The city councilor was attacked when two of his personal security officers (PSOs) were not with him.
Meanwhile, according to the Defense PRO, two AK-47 rifles, one SLR and other munitions have been recovered from the three terrorists killed in the Tral encounter.
An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces this morning in the upper reaches of the forested area of Nagberan Tral.
