JAIPUR: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by three youths living in the same neighbourhood, the city police claimed.
according to this DCP (West) Richa Tomar, the incident is of Sunday and the father of the minor has lodged an FIR FIR At a police station on Monday, the police said that they have already arrested two accused for their alleged involvement in the crime.
According to the police, when the girl was nowhere to be found on Sunday afternoon, the family got upset. After this the girl’s father went to a house in his locality and saw his daughter there. Police said the accused had fled after finding the girl’s father.
The girl narrated her ordeal to the family members and they lodged an FIR against the accused on Monday. The case was registered under section 376D (gang rape) Indian Penal Codealong with other relevant sections of Protection of children from sexual offenses (POCSO) Act.
The necessary medical procedures have been completed and the police have formed teams to trace the reaming accused. Police said that the accused named in the FIR lived in the neighborhood where both the accused also used to move frequently. According to the Jaipur Police, the accused used to work as a laborer in the nearby area.
