As promised, the first look of actress Jacqueline Fernandez’s debut Kannada film, Vikrant Rona, was unveiled today. The Sri Lankan beauty herself treated fans with the first look poster of the much-awaited film. He introduced his character called Gadanga Rakkamma. The poster also stars Kichcha Sudeep, who is leading the upcoming 3D fantasy action-adventure thriller. Jacqueline looks sultry and jovial in the new look poster and her look is quite attractive. In a traditional outfit, she strikes a pose with Sudeep. “‘Rakkamma that does not know, does not exist.’ It gives me immense pleasure to introduce our character Gadang Rakkamma from Vikrant Rona.”
Directed by Anoop Bhandari, Vikrant Rona also stars Nirup Bhandari and debutante Neeta Ashok in lead roles. Madhusudan Rao, Sandesh Jain, Ravi Shankar Gowda, Kartik Rao, Dushyant Rai, Sidhu Moolamani, Chitkala Birdar, Samhita, Priya V and Vasuki Vaibhav will also join the cast to play pivotal roles. The film, shot on a large set last year at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, will release simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi languages. Backed by Shalini Manjunath, Vikrant Rona is slated to release on August 19, 2021.
Jacqueline, who will play an extended cameo in the film, shared that working with Sudeep in the film was a joyous experience. She recently shared a picture from a photoshoot with him and wrote, “Working with Kiccha Sudeep is an experience I will cherish for a long time, prepare for a tough game of chess the next time we meet Go Thanks to the whole team. Vikrant Rona is definitely making India proud at the global level.
Talking to IANS on joining the big budget film, the 35-year-old said, “I am glad that I have been signed for an action-adventure which is being conceived on such a large scale. I am really excited. And I hope this film revives the spirit of theatre.” Welcoming him warmly to the team, Anoop Bhandari said, “Jacqueline on board adds another important dimension to the story of ‘Vikrant Rona’. The new hero of the world.”
Jacqueline was last seen in a Netflix original film, Mrs Serial Killer, and a music video titled Pani Pani with rapper Badshah. He is set to be involved in many interesting projects in the near future. Jacqueline is working in many films including Bhoot Police, Attack, Circus, Bachchan Pandey and Ram Setu.
