A huge cache of arms and ammunition was recovered after security forces busted a terrorist hideout in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch, officials said on Monday. According to the information, the hideout was busted in a village near the Line of Control (LoC) in the district.
The whereabouts were discovered during a joint search operation by the army and police in Noorkot village, officials said.
The search operation was carried out on the basis of specific intelligence inputs by the Poonch Brigade of White Knight Corps and SOG Poonch at village Noorkot in Tehsil Haveli.
During the search, the party found two AK-47 rifles, two AK-47 magazines, one 223 bore AK shape gun with handgrip, two 233 bore AK shape gun magazines, one Chinese pistol, one Chinese pistol magazine, 63 AK- Recovered 47 rounds. 223 bore AK shape gun with twenty rounds and four Chinese pistol rounds.
Officials, however, said that no one was arrested during the search operation that was carried out late Sunday evening.
