‘It’s Not Something I Jumped At Right Away’: Shruti Haasan On Marriage

Apart from the fact that they are all highly anticipated projects, Prabhas’ Salaar by KS Ravindra Bobby, Chiranjeevi-starrer Chiru 154 and Balakrishna’s NBK 107 have something else in common – Shruti Haasan. Shruti is the leading lady of all three upcoming Telugu films. The artist, who took a two-year hiatus in 2018, is back as if she never left. Currently, in Mumbai, the Poojai actor spoke to Mumbai Times about the idea of marriage.

When asked about marriage, Shruti said that the prospect of marriage bothers her at the moment. “It’s not something I would jump into immediately,” she remarked.

Shruti disputes that her views on marriage were influenced by her parents’ divorce – Kamal Haasan and Sarika. She continued, “Because their marriage didn’t work out, she would not give up on the idea of marriage. “When it worked, they were a great pairing, and that’s what I chose to look for,” she said.

Shruti is currently dating visual artist Shantanu Hazarika. The couple started dating in 2020 and started living together in 2021.

Meanwhile, Shruti is also excited about her multilingual endeavor Salar. She is set to play the leading lady opposite Prabhas in the film directed by Prashanth Neel of KGF fame. Her character Aadya was introduced a few months back by the makers through a Twitter post.
