Cricket fans have seen Umran Malik dodging the batsmen with his fast pace in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Now, they are eagerly waiting to see him in the blue jersey when the team India Will take on South Africa in the first match of the T20 series in Delhi on Thursday.
The 22-year-old fast bowler from Jammu has proved his mettle in cricket IPL 2022 in which he finished the season as the 4th highest wicket-taker of the tournament with 22 wickets. Along with the breathtaking pace, Umran has often displayed his aggression on the field.
Ahead of the first T20I, stand-in captain Rishabh Pant talks about the new Indian pace sensation saying that Umran will learn to control his aggression.
“He is an amazing prospect for us. But with time, he will learn how to control his aggression, his line or length. He has bowled well in the IPL, but I think going forward we will see him in flying colors. I will see. But I think it is going to take time, as long as we are thinking as a team, we will try to give early chances to those who have come first,” Pant told a press conference on Wednesday. said during
Umran has trained well in the nets and got all the useful inputs from the coaching staff. Speaking about his experience of training with the Indian team, he said that it was exciting and training under the likes of Rahul Dravid and Paras Mhambrey.

Paras (Mhambre) sir was behind me in the nets and was constantly giving inputs. It gave me a lot of confidence as it is helpful when you are supervised by your coach. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant was named as the captain for the T20I series on Wednesday after KL Rahul was ruled out due to a back injury on the eve of the match. All-rounder Hardik Pandya will act as Pant’s deputy in the series.
